Waterwort is excellent plant for tropical aquaria. Temperatures up to 25°C are tolerated well. This aquarium foreground plant looks like a miniature version of Glossostigma elatinoides but grows much slower. This makes it an ideal carpeting plant for nano tanks as it is not as invasive as Glosso. Notwithstanding its suitability for small tanks, a spreading carpet of Waterwort can be a stunning eye catcher in larger tanks as well!

Waterwort - is a small leaved carpeting foreground plant that is widely distributed throughout Europe. Although Europeans have been one of the most progressive regions for freshwater planted aquaria, it is only recently that Waterwort has begun to be grown in freshwater aquascapes. Since Waterwort occurs throughout Europe from Spain and Italy to the British Isles and Scandinavia.

Waterwort - What is particulalry exciting about Waterwort is that it’s leaves are small, as in tiny, like 1/10th the size of Glossostigma elatinoides and half the size of baby tears, Hemianthus micranthemoides.

You receive about 15 stems( one clump ) with roots and leaves size 1-2 cm
