Rotala rotundifolia belongs to classical loose aquarium plants for the beginners and experienced aquarists as well.. It tolerates moderate to high lighting. If there is more light, leaves are compact and red. Rotala tolerates pH: 6.5 - 7.0. It can be placed as middle or backgroun aquarium plant. When you trim rotala regularly, it is more and more dense. Cuttings of Rotala can be planted in new place. They root easily. Rotala looks beautiful with Bacopa amplexicaulis, Saururus cernuus and carpet plants e.g. lilaeopsis, eleocharis, glossostigma
