Which plants are suitable for beginner aquarist
Anyone who starts their adventure with an aquarium should start with the cultivation of easy growing typical water plants. Please do not start with plants that require special conditions, such as soft water, adequate water hardness, or professional fertilization. Therefore, let's not start with the cultivation of such plants as Cabomba piauhyensis or Barclaya longifolia. Rotala rotundifolia
Rotala rotundifolia belongs to classical loose aquarium plants for the beginners and experienced aquarists as well.. It tolerates moderate to high lighting. If there is more light, leaves are compact and red. Rotala tolerates pH: 6.5 - 7.0. It can be placed as middle or backgroun aquarium plant. When you trim rotala regularly, it is more and more dense.
