Acorus gramineus can be planted on the bank or in the pond, but the water level should not be too deep. It is the best to plant it at a depth of 10 cm. Acorus gramineus does not grow in deep water.
We can plant it in a openwork pot, jute bag or between stones. In the Autumn the plant should be trimmed. We should remove faded leaves. The plant overwinters without any problems in moderate climates.In a very frosty atmosphere must be covered for the winter.
We can plant Acorus gramineus in the garden as well. It belongs to perennial plants. It is Ideally suited for rocky garden. Acorus gramineus is planted in the pond because of the nice attractive leaves.
(Although it blooms nicely but the flowers are not very attractive.)
