Japanese larch is a species of larch native to Japan. Larix is vey poplar among bonsai lovers.
It is a medium-sized to large deciduous coniferous tree reaching 20–40 m tall, with a trunk up to 1 m diameter.The leaves are needle-like. Seeds can be sown from late winter to early spring. Japanese Larch grows fine in well-drained slightly acidic to neutral soil.
